A regenerative dental manufacturer needed practicing clinicians in a live webinar. An advertorial-led campaign delivered registrations at $4.05 to $6.65, at a click-through rate roughly triple the platform median.
Meta Ads Manager, 22–30 March 2026. $307.92 in spend produced roughly 60 webinar registrations at a blended $5.13 each..
Without a connected system, even good traffic can fail to produce reliable growth.
The audience was licensed dental professionals in a regenerative specialty. Not consumers, not a broad healthcare category. A defined group of practitioners with full calendars and an inbox full of manufacturers asking for an hour.
Narrow professional audiences are expensive to reach on Meta. The pool is small, the auction is thin, and every device company, lab and CE provider is bidding for the same few thousand people. Cost per thousand impressions ran between $27 and $38, which is exactly where you would expect it to land.
The cost of the impression was never the problem. The cost of the commitment was.

Rather than asking a clinician to register, the ad gave them something to read first. An article-style piece that made the case before the ask appeared.

The advertorial route and a broad prospecting route ran simultaneously against the same objective, so the difference between them was an observation rather than an opinion.

Cheap traffic into a weak page produces nothing. The registration page converted just under a third of the visitors who reached it.
The advertorial angle came in 40% cheaper than broad prospecting, and both beat the platform on engagement..
Registrations at $4.05 from the advertorial campaign and $6.65 from broad prospecting, for a blended cost of $5.13 across $307.92 of spend.
Link click-through peaked at 5.83% against a cross-platform median near 2.04%. Counting all clicks, the same campaigns reached 20.84%.
Landing page views as low as $0.56, into a registration page converting at 30.99%. The efficiency came from the page as much as the auction.
More importantly, the system created a stronger path from attention to revenue — not just better-looking activity.
A busy clinician will not book an hour off a headline. They will read three paragraphs. Once the advertorial had done the persuading, the registration page only had to take a name.
That single change accounted for most of the cost difference between the two campaigns.
The advertorial format outperformed direct registration ads by about 40% on cost per registration.
The ask was framed as a specific, bounded commitment rather than an open-ended invitation, which is what a full calendar responds to.
Both approaches ran under identical objectives and measurement, so the winner was decided by the account rather than by preference.
By the time a clinician clicked, the decision was already made. The registration page only had to take a name, which is why it converted at 30.99%.
Article-style creative that makes the case before the ask appears.
Campaigns measured on cost per registration, not cost per click.
